Many people like to use the bluetooth function in the computer to connect various bluetooth devices or transfer files, which is very convenient, but sometimes you may encounter bluetooth driver abnormality, which needs to be repaired. How to fix abnormal blutooth in Windows 11?
If you’re using a PC that runs Windows 11 and Bluetooth is missing, there are several reasons for that:
l Your PC doesn’t support Bluetooth.
l You haven’t enabled Bluetooth on your PC.
l Airplane mode is enabled on your PC.
l Bluetooth drivers are missing or are corrupted
l Issues in the integration of Bluetooth frameworks or software.
l Conflicts between applications.
In response to this problem, this article will explain to you several solutions to repair the Windows 11 Bluetooth driver:
Solution1. Check Bluetooth Device
Solution2. Bluetooth troubleshooter
Solution5. Bluetooth Support Service
The very first thing you have to identify is whether your computer has has a Bluetooth device installed and a Bluetooth driver:
1. Type WIN+X together and select Device Manager
2. On the Device Manager panel, check if there is a bluetooth device
3. If not, you should launch a bluetooth device
4. If there is a bluetooth device, try the below solutions
In some cases, the "cause of the missing Bluetooth device" is also the process or service that caused the problem installing the driver. So, you need to boot Windows into Safe Mode so you can easily install the driver without conflicting processes.
After following these steps, check to see if the missing Bluetooth issue is resolved in Windows 11 Device Manager:
1. Press WIN+S to open the Search Box
2. Search for System Configuration
3. Click the Boot tab
4. Select Safe Mode, tick the checkbox for Minimal under it, and then click on OK at the bottom
5. When pop-up window appears, click restart
Wait for a few minutes after the system reboots.
Launch SYSTEM CONFIGURATION again, and click safe mode and reboot the computer.
To run a computer bluetooth troubleshooter, you can follow these steps:
1. Press WIN+I at the same time to launch Settings,
2. Click Troubleshoot in the System tab
3. Click on Other troubleshooters on the right
4. Locate the Bluetooth troubleshooter, and click on the Run button next to it
5. Follow the instructions on the subsequent pop-up to proceed and select the appropriate option.
If the above steps make you feel like a waste of time, you are not familiar with computer operation. Then I recommend downloading a driver updater software, Driver Talent, which can download thousands of drivers for free, and is suitable for Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8 systems, and also suitable for desktop computers and laptop computers.
One-click download, one-click installation, and one-click scanning, you have no need to check what is wrong with your computer drivers.
All the drivers that can be updated after scanning will be displayed. If necessary, you can download the driver version you need.
Click on the blue inverted triangle, you can not only download the latest version but also can download the former version.
Tips: The newer the driver, not the better. The new version of the driver is prone to compatibility problems. It is best to use the original driver of the computer, so that the compatibility is high, therefore, Driver Talent provides multiple versions for download.
You can also update drivers by yourself, following the below steps to update bluetooth driver:
1. Type WIN+X together and select Device Manager
2. On the Device Manager panel, check if there is a bluetooth device
3. If not, you should launch a bluetooth device
4. If you can’t find a bluetooth device, go up on the Device Manager tab
5. Click View, and choose Show hidden devices
6. If the Bluetooth entry now appears, right-click on it, and select Update driver from the context menu
7. Choose Search automatically for drivers in the Update Drivers window
The Windows 11 system will automatically search for the best available driver and install it for the bluetooth device. Most often than not, it’s an outdated driver that causes issues and leads to Bluetooth missing in Device Manager in Windows 11. If that’s the case, updating the driver should fix the error.
If these four solutions can not fix the Bluetooth disappears problem, you can try this method:
1. Type WIN+R at the same time to launch Run Command
2. Type services.msc in the input box, and either click on OK or hit Enter to launch the Services window.
3. Right-click on Bluetooth Support Service and select Properties
4. Click on the Startup type dropdown menu
5. Select Automatic from the list of options.
6. If the service is not running, click on the Start button under Service status, wait for the service to start running, and then click on OK at the bottom to save the changes.
7. After everything done, reboot the computer to let the setup start
