How to fix no LAN access in Windows 10? After the windows 10 upgrade, many users started having LAN (Local Area Network) connection problems. In this case, your Internet works properly, but when mapping network drive or shared folder, you just receive the "Windows cannot access to LAN" error:
There are many factors resulting in such LAN not working issue: hardware problem, faulty LAN adapter, wrong network configuration, etc. Today we’re going to show you several methods to fix the no LAN available problem.
You can check the hardware related to the LAN network first in case you waste time on other useless computer operations.
Step 1. Contact your local network support and make sure there’s no problem with the network.
Step 2. Turn off and then turn on the WiFi router again, or unplug the Ethernet cable out and then reconnect it. This will help the router to re-find IP address.
Step 3. Switch the wireless button on your laptop. Turn it off and the turn on again.
Step 4. Clean up the dust and re-plug the network card in the port.
After the hardware check, reconnect the LAN to see if you could map the network or shared folder. If the LAN connection problem still persists, continue the reading.

a. Right click on the network icon in the notification area.
b. Select Open Network and Sharing Center.
c. Choose Change advanced sharing settings from the left column.
d. Expand the Guest or public entry.
e. Choose Turn on network discovery and Turn on file and printer sharing options.

Save the changes and go to the Step 2 below.
Use Windows shortcut keysWin + R to launch the Run.

g. Rename the DWORD as AllowInsecureGuestAuth and set the value as 1.
h. Click on the OK to finish the settings.

You’d better be careful when modify the Registry, because it is an extremely sensitive system database. If something goes wrong with it, serious system problems, such as 100% disk usage, slow boot, system restore error 0x8000ffff, etc. will annoy you and make your PC stop working completely.
It is highly recommended to create a system restore point to before any changes related to the LAN problem.
b. Navigate to the Server service.
c. Double-click on the Server.
d. Click on the button Start.
e. Select Automatic from the drop down menu of Startup type.
f. Click the button Apply and OK to finish the settings.
When you finish the 3 steps, open the Network. Now you will find devices like computers, printers, routers, etc. appear in the local area network and the LAN is available.
