How to Fix Windows 10 WiFi Problem

1. Wi-Fi Doesn’t Have a Valid IP Configuration

If you receive the Wi-Fi Doesn’t Have a Valid IP Configuration error message, you could first use the Command Prompt to fix it.

Step 1. Right-click the Start button and click Command Prompt (Admin).

Step 2. Type the following commands one after each other and hit Enter:

netsh winsock reset

ipconfig /release

netsh int ip reset

ipconfig /renew

ipconfig /flushdns

2. Wi-Fi Connected but No Internet Access

Step 1. Run the Windows 10 network troubleshooter.

Note: In the Taskbar, type Network troubleshooter in the search box, and then click Identify and repair network problems from the list of results. Follow the steps in the troubleshooter to fix any detected network problems.

Step 2. Restart your modem and router.

Step 3. Scan for viruses.

Step 4. Uninstall your antivirus programs.

Step 5. Reset TCP/IP Protocol.

Note: Open command prompt, type “netsh int ip reset resettcpip.txt” and hit Enter.

Step 6. Update your network driver.

3. Windows 10 Can’t Connect to This Network

Receive the message that says “Windows can’t connect to this network” in Windows 10? Normally, the wireless adapter is the culprit. You could try to uninstall and reinstall the network adapter. Take these steps:

Step 1. Right-click the Start button and click Device Manager.

Step 2. Right-click on the network adapter and choose Uninstall.

Step 3. If prompted, click on Delete the driver software for this device.

Step 4. Restart your machine and Windows will automatically reinstall the driver.

4. Wireless Adapter Not Showing Up in Device Manager in Windows 10
