Method 2: Check the Network Settings

The default security option is set to WPA2 (Wi-Fi Protected Access II) encryption in-house WiFi. So if your WiFi router is too old to support this, replace it with a new WiFi router or set Security Settings to WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK AES, or the router will never connect to the network.

1. Open your web browser and type into the address 192.168.1.1 (or the IP address written on the back of your router), and then type into the username and the password (admin is the default).

2. Go to the Wireless Settings and go to Wireless Security Settings.

3. Select WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK encryption, and then enter a complex password below.

Method 3: Reset the TCP/IP Stack

It is possible that the network connection has been corrupted, which causes the WiFi router not working or connecting. So you can reset the TCP/IP stack and fix the problem in Windows 10.

1. Use Windows shortcut keysWin + X to launch the Jump List, and then select Command Prompt (Admin).

Method 4: Check the Network Drivers

Check in Device Manager to see if there are faulty network drivers. Outdated, corrupted and incorrectly configured network drivers can result in various network problems like WiFi router not working.
