How to Customize the Touch Keyboard on Windows 11

The updated Touch Keyboard on Windows 11 allows users to choose the size, the theme, as well as customize the color scheme and keyboard keys. Windows Central has provided the detailed steps to achieve these on Windows 11.
Steps to Enable Key Background
1. Open “Settings” by pressing “Windows + I” on the keyboard or from the Start menu.
2. Select “Personalization” from the left column.
3. Select “Touch keyboard” on the right.
4. Click the Keyboard theme settings.
5. Turn on the Key background toggle switch.
Steps to Adjust Keyboard Size
1. Open “Settings” by pressing “Windows + I” on the keyboard or from the Start menu.
2. Select “Personalization” from the left column.
3. Select “Touch keyboard” on the right.
4. Adjust the Touch Keyboard size with the slider.
Steps to Change Key Text Size
1. Open “Settings” by pressing “Windows + I” on the keyboard or from the Start menu.
2. Select “Personalization” from the left column.
3. Select “Touch keyboard” on the right.
4. Click the Keyboard theme settings.
5. Choose the text sizeyou want with the Key text size drop-down menu.
Steps to Change Keyboard Theme
1. Open “Settings” by pressing “Windows + I” on the keyboard or from the Start menu.
2. Select “Personalization” from the left column.
3. Select “Touch keyboard” on the right.
4. Click the Keyboard theme settings.
5. Click on your preferred theme to apply it.
Note: You can preview the touch keyboard by clicking on the “Open keyboard” button. Also, you can scroll down to the “Touch keyboard” page to customize it more.
Steps to Customize Theme
1. Open “Settings” by pressing “Windows + I” on the keyboard or from the Start menu.
2. Select “Personalization” from the left column.
3. Select “Touch keyboard” on the right.
4. Click the “Keyboard theme” option to expand it.
5. Select the “Custom theme” and click the “Edit” button.
6. Select the “Text” tab to configure the key text color and suggestion text color.
7. Select the “Keys” tab to configure the key background color and key transparency.
8. Click the “Window” tab to choose the background color.
Note: Windows 11 enable users to customize the windows background with an image. If you want so, you need to use the “Personalize your background” drop-down menu and select the “Picture” button. Then, click the “Choose your picture” button and select your favourite image. After that, click the “Choose a fit” drop-down menu and select the fit option. Finally, adjust the background brightness by using the “Background brightness” slider and click the “Save” button.
After these steps, you will get a custom Touch Keyboard on Windows 11.
