The crackling or popping sound issue in Windows 10 could also occur once your computer has DPC latency issue. You could download DPC Latency Checker to check your DPC latency status.
After you download the software program, run dpclat.exe, the excessive DPC latency will be indicated by a red bar. If the crackling sound problem exists, there will be many red bars.
